glasses

Sweat trickles down the flushed face,
creating tiny streams of salt and crystal dams.
Pulse beats, pounds, and elevates—
approaching mountains only experienced

Morning sun—glorious and bright—
glaring off sunglasses that try to block light.
Regardless of practical elements,
who are meant to protect retinas from UV-rays,
the sun’s radiance shines through.
